Er hätte sich aber mehr durchsetzen müssen,schon das mit den Konzerten nur in Amerika/Hawaii.

Wäre er öfters unterwegs gewesen hätte er 1968 kein Comeback gebraucht.

ich weiss, weshalb Elvis einige Jahre in der Versenkung verschwunden war.Seine Karriere lässt sich so einteilen :
1956 bis 1958 = frühe, klassische Rockphase
1960 bis 1964 = mittlere Phase nach der Armeezeit
1965 bis 1967 = unbedeutende Phase mit kitschigen Filmen
1968 bis 1977 = grosses Comeback mit vielen Auftritten in Vegas

wer genau aufpasst, weiss weshalb er 4 Jahre weg war.Die Beatlemania !
Denn 1964 stand die Welt Kopf und alles drehte sich um die Pilzköpfe.Zum ersten Mal bekam Elvis eine starke Konkurrenz zu spüren und er wollte sich nicht mit den Beatles anlegen und verzichtete deshalb für mehrere Jahre auf das Rampenlicht (mehr oder weniger).Erst als die Beatles langsam zu Ende gingen und ein neuer Zeitgeist da war (CCR), wagte Elvis die Rückkehr mit einer TV-Sendung und war dann wieder ganz weit oben.

Hallo,
auch ich wollte mich zu Wort melden.
Mir persönlich gefällt HURT (Craine/Jacobs) von ELVIS gesungen am besten.Davon gibt es schließlich auch eine Menge an Versionen.
Hierbei kommt die volle Stimme vom King zum Ausdruck die dadurch einzigartig wirkt.Kein Imitator kommt da ran.Gruß PETER
